Knitting with NPR

May 12, 2007

I Knit with NPRI spend a lot of my time during the day listening to NPR, in the car, at work, at home. So I obviously spend a lot of time knitting while listening to NPR. Today while I was knitting I thought about all the other knitting buttons I see – I knit with Grey’s, I knit with Gilmore Girls, etc. I don’t usually knit during my favorite shows (Lost & Heroes because I need to focus on the show) but I decided I needed an NPR button. So I made one! Ta da! You know the deal steal way but host on your own server! yes I know it’s pink if you really really really want one in a different color email me and I’ll change it for you.

For whatever reason, I have never listened to NPR. I guess it’s because I always listen to CDs. I haven’t listened to the radio in years. However, one of my dearest friends listens to NPR all the time and has told me I should too. She “confessed” to me that her favorite show is a car talk show on the weekends. If you knew her, that would crack you up as much as it does me. Maybe I’ll have to check it out sometime.

At the risk of showing myself to be the un-intellectual blogger, I’m impressed that you figured out how to make a button. How did you do that?

NPR has all the best shows! It one point my car radio’s tuner button was working working properly and I was getting fussy about it. My husband said, “Why does it matter? You only listen to one station anyway.” I reminded him that we had two different NPR stations in UT at the time. MAybe if we could get the word out about your button, it could be on “Wait, Wait!”
BTW, did anybody else besides me think the Car Talk quiz a couple of weeks ago was WAY too easy?
