I’m back! This was my 4th trip to Colorado this year. Yeah I know, but I love it and my sister in Denver, so visiting is easy. Of course I wont be going back until April when all the snow and cold is gone! The whole purpose of this trip was to see my favorite band Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, before I moved here, they used to come through Kansas City a couple of times a year, but they haven’t been near so I said to heck with it and flew to Denver to see them!
It was really cold and windy the first day. My sister and I went for a walk in Cherry Creek State Park. It’s a state park much in the middle of Denver, so you’re walking in The Great Outdoors and look up and see the Denver skyline and the mountains. Very cool.
Then my sis took me to Hillcreek Yarn Shoppe, which was just opening last time I was there. The shelves are full and the shop appears to be booming. I was just as pleased with the store and the people was I was the first time I was there. I did buy yarn and I’m hoping for some sunshine this week so it can be Friday’s pr0n. Then the girls went clothes shopping.
Saturday night we headed to Pasquini’s for dinner before the concert. The food was great! We got there just in time because towards the end of our meal there was a line of people outside in the cold waiting to get in.
After dinner we had about an hour before the doors open so we stepped in to this bar around the corner from the Gothic Theatre and played some pool. It was an interesting place, the jukebox was great, but the ladies room smelled like an outhouse. I’m serious you could smell it before you got within 10 feet of the door.
Tomorrows post will be all about the concert. I got some good pics and some video, although the sound is pretty distorted I’m proud of it.
