For the knitters – I’ve been knitting I swear! Unfortunately this is the busy time of year for my small business so not much. Plus I’m working on a scarf which seems to be taking forever, so no pictures, because who wants to see basically the same picture with me swearing I’m working on it!
For the book lovers – I’m also reading, and as always a number of things. I just started the The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, at 80 pages in I’m not sure how I like it. I’m listening to the Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd, which I really like. I’m also reading Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion, which I love, but can only read in small doses so I have time to process.
For the environmentalist – While cologne shopping with a friend this weekend I saw that Hummer has a cologne out. Ugh. Really I mean I could go on and on about gas and pollution and the implication of your genital size if you drive one of these things, but now that’s not enough? You have to douse yourself in essence of small genitalia? barf.
For the movie lovers – I watched Brokeback Mountainthis weekend. Although I thought it was pretty boring I did cry at the end, what I can I say? I also watched The Matador, I did not like this movie, I didn’t really see the point in it. I’m still hoping that Running with Scissors will show up at a movie theater near here, but it’s unlikely.
For the hecklers – I’m losing it! For the last month I have thought my friend Jenn was coming for a visit this weekend, arriving on Saturday night. At about 4 Saturday I called to talk to her and realized she’s coming next weekend! I’d taken the time off work, made the preparations, everything. I’m pretty sure 30 is to early to be losing it, but it seems to be happening anyway!
For the fans – I had a great weekend even without Jenn. I spent Sunday knitting at a coffee shop talking with friends. Then off to the mall to shop for cologne, where Nathan went against my recommendation, so if you see him be sure to tell him he smells. Then Panera for a very late lunch/early dinner. Home to work out and work on the biz.
