I heard this on the news this morning, today is Thanksgiving Eve. I don’t get it. I get New Year’s Eve and Christmas Eve, cuz things actually happen then, like parties and Santa, but um what happens tonight? Does a giant turkey come around? If so, I hope he doesn’t come to my house, turkeys are scary enough normal size.
The scarf-that-would-never end it done! It’s a Christmas gift for my dad, he doesn’t read my blog so I can tell you. It’s black Paton’s wool, I used size 7 needles in checkerboard pattern (I think) with a seed stitch border. Someone correct me if I’m wrong on that. I don’t have pattern book in front of me. The whole time I was finishing this I swore I’d never make a scarf for a tall person again! My dad is over 6 foot.
Of course then I was already working on another scarf using the Cascade 220 I bought in Denver. It’s much greener than the pictures show. It’s knitting up so nicely, I love how it looks and feels. Of course it’s still short so seems to be going fast at this point. I had originally started this in twisted stockinette, but of course it was curling so I frogged it and went with a simple k2, p2 rib.
The sunset from my backyard a couple of nights ago. We’ve been getting great sunsets and sunrises.
