The Holidays are a crafty time and not just for knitting. I’ve been busy making and packaging soap for gifts. I making a variety of styles, sizes and scents. The ones to the right are Goats Milk Soap no scent or color added so they are great for your face. I think they look beautiful in their natural state. I’m also making turtles and frogs, all green in different scents and a couple other things. Each soap gets wrapped in cellophane. They’ll be packaged with care in boxes and taken to the local post office, where we can only hope they wont get stolen, stomped on, lost or delivered sometimes in June. Yes all of those things have happened with the Postal Service. I hate them.
But enough of that! Holiday Joy! I have a lot more to get completed before Christmas both knitting and other crafty goodness. As of right now I’m pretty sure I can get everything done, including some candymaking and baking. Of course in 5 minutes I could sink in to Christmas Panic! (For me this involved running in circles and flapping my hands while wailing that there is not enough time 🙂 )
Here is the throw I talked about yesterday. This is one I made for myself and I just love the colors. I’ts so warm and snuggly. Bevvy asked me how to make one so I created a page with instructions. I know you can buy a kit for these at many places but picking out your own fabric make them much more personal, plus you can make them bigger. Including fringe mine is 6 feet.
