In a move of pure genius last month I canceled my home phone and dsl internet service and switch to cable internet. It’s saving me a crapload of money which definitely needs saving. We’re talking I’m looking for a second job here people. Somehow in the glow of my genius it didn’t occur to me that I only have 300 anytime minutes on my cell phone plan, with a carrier I was planning to leave when my contract was up, March 10th. (Oh yes, I knew the exact date of my freedom and a new cell phone, cuz my old one is a piece of crap). But as Carol pointed out last week, sometimes you just out clever yourself. I realized there was a problem when 2 days into my new billing cycle I had used over half my minutes. eeek! I started running around researching every option: cable phone at home, getting a new plan and a new phone now, not answering my phone for the next 6 weeks. While pursuing cell phone plans I noticed my current provide has a new plan with nights starting at 7pm. Interesting. I’d ignore their earlier offers to reup with them because I wanted to be free. Not angry, just you know, the feeling wasn’t there anymore and I thought it was time we both had the freedom to see other people. But this, this was a new side to them I hadn’t seen before. So I called, I let them woo me, convince me we were made for each other and should never be apart. I agreed. I’m not gonna tell you the details of the deal I got cuz I don’t wanna jinx myself but lets just say it’s the equivalent of a foot massage every night. Plus I”m getting this new phone. It’s not here yet but I am oh so anxiously awaiting it’s arrival. Yes it’s red, it’s a Red Motorazr as part of Motorola’s partnership with (PRODUCT) Red. What’s that? Well I’m glad you asked!
(PRODUCT) Red is
(Red) is a brand created to raise awareness and money for the Global Fund by teaming up with the world’s most iconic brands to produce (PRODUCT) Red branded products. A portion of profits from each (PRODUCT) Red product sold will go directly to the Global Fund to invest in African AIDS programmes, with a focus on women and children.
PS. I have (Red) tshirts from the Gap and if I could afford an iPod, I’d have a (Red)
PSS I’m getting down off my soapbox now.
