In addition to my bad coffee conversation yesterday, I managed to do some other things that I actually enjoyed. My local Barnes and Noble probably hates me with a passion because when I have free time and inclination, I go out there, drink a lot of coffee and look through almost every knitting book and magazine they have. This Friday I was also specifically looking for Fitted Knits and No Sheep for You. But despite that stack of books you see at right, (yes I looked through all of them and the magazines, it was my day off!) they had neither. I think I’m going to order Fitted Knits, unseen, from Amazon based on Robin’s review of it. Sounds like I’ll really like it and I always love what she knits.
I also saw 300 on Friday night with Nate. It was opening night so we got there super early and had our popcorn and were waiting to be let in to the specific theater 25 minutes early, along with a lot of other people. We still managed to get great seats! The theater was packed so our complete dorkiness was a good thing.
The movie was ok. The cinematography and the half naked men were wonderful! I just couldn’t get too into any of the characters, so some scenes that were supposed to be moving were, well, just boring. Still a better choice than some of Nate’s latest picks!
