One of my favorite parts of travel is checking out yarn shops. Since I don’t have a local yarn shop and the two closest one aren’t that great. The Studio was the only one I found within walking distance of The Plaza. It was definitely worth the walk! The staff was so friendly and they had a great selection of yarn. If you’re going to be in the area I definitely recommend stopping by. I saw for the first time Koigu and Noro but didn’t buy either. What I did buy? You know the thing with souvenir yarn is that you don’t have to have project in mind for it, you don’t need a reason other than you’re on vacation. So I have no plans for any of these and I’d LOVE suggestions, so please make one or many. Oh and today is the last day for the contest so if you haven’t head over there and leave a comment.
From Crafty In A Good Way (Local artist and The Studio is one of the few places that carry her stuff and it’s all freaking gorgeous!) Crafty Cascade Petite in colorway:Patina, it’s 100% silk 1054 yards 5 5/8 oz. This is my first silk. The color is pretty true to the picture. I love this yarn. I’m thinking lace.
You recognize that, don’t you? It’s Malabrigo, my first. It’s chunky, they had a small selection of chunky and worsted weight. I couldn’t find a color I was in love with in the worsted so I went with this. But what do I do with a little over 100 yards of chunky yarn? Another scarf?
