Come on in! Despite working at the Winery and the Library both this weekend I got the Yarn Room done! I swear I don’t know why I didn’t do this ages ago! I love it! Here’s what you see from the doorway, isn’t that tempting?
I know the first bookshelf is pretty empty right now but since it’s for knitting books and knitting stuff I know it will fill up fast! 🙂 The basket on it is for FOs that are waiting to be wrapped and gifted. I thought I had a lot of knitting books but they only take up one shelf! : )
My favorite thing in this room by far is this shelf. I got it and the fabric bins at Target. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted and luckily I was able to find it. This deep bookshelf is perfect and the fabric bins are awesome. I have some wicker baskets but I’m not a huge fan of wicker and I think they scratch the shelves they sit on. Oh and see the baskets on the floor? One is wicker and I’ve had it forever. The other one is faux suede and I got it at Target too, it’s actually for holding wood next to your fireplace.
Wanna see a close up? You know you do! The top shelf hold my knitting tote, stitch marker case, cone of kitchen cotton and other small accessories. Then the fabric bins. Some are faux suede some are corduroy and some are fabric and they are all full of yarn! The drawer on the bottom holds my circular, dpn and Options needle cases.
The other corner. I had this shelving and baskets already. The top basket holds kitchen cottons, the second one sweater yarn for the Central Park Hoodie and The Cozy V Neck as these are the next two I want to make. There is still some yarn in tubs in the basement, but my goal is only to have as much yarn as will fit in this room. Which is a LOT. I think that’s reasonable stash management. 🙂
In the other corner, my computer desk.
