I’m behind on my blog reading and answering comments for a couple of reasons. First car troubles, I had to have my car towed this week. It’s working now, but it made for a very stressful couple of days. Second I’m addicted to Dexter and thanks to Netflix I can watch episodes on line. So I’ve pretty much done nothing but watch them for the last two days. Oh and knit, there’s been lots of knitting but more on that later. On to the Pr0n! This one is for the non knitters. A couple of you have asked about the swift and winder. For the knitters, you can ignore the text and just look at the pretty pictures! 🙂
Sometimes when you buy yarn it looks like this, in a skein. You can’t knit from this, it will become a jumbled, tangled mess.
It’s a loop twisted in on itself.
So you untwist it.
Then you put in on the swift.
Take an end to the ball winder and start to wind, by turning the crank
Eventually you get this! A beautiful yarn cake you can knit from!
